Why I think every photographer needs to learn Dubsado or hire someone to set up Dubsado.

Is investing time and money into Dubsado worth it?

YES!!!!!

The problem I had before implementing Dubsado was that my business wasn’t streamlined or organized. Not to mention, I was wasting so much time rewriting emails that had the same message. I was dealing with clients, bookings, invoices, contracts, and all the forms manually. It was getting hard to keep everything organized and it took so much time.

I wanted to be more organized but I didn’t know how and I didn’t feel I had the time or money to invest in Dubsado.

The funny thing is, I didn’t realize how many hours I was wasting responding to every single client request. Automation is amazing once you come to understand what it has to offer. It is beneficial to both the client and the photographer, win-win. Dubsado is much cheaper than hiring another person to handle booking and client emails. It freed up so much time for me and still gave me the control I desired.

Implementing Dubsado

I spent January of 2022 learning Dubsado and setting it up. Dubsado has so many free tutorial videos and a quick search with Google led me to find a few paid tutorials that were worth every single penny. Let’s be real, this time of year is pretty slow for most photographers. It is a perfect time to work on your business plan and a perfect time to learn something new (hint: Dubsado).

A look inside Dubsado

I created this video to give you a look inside Dubsado from a client perspective and from the photographer prospective. I think this video will help you see the potential of Dubsado.

The best Part

The best part about Dubsado, in my opinion, is that it elevated my client experience. It set my business apart from all of the other photographers in the area. There is no comparison to how sloppy of an experience I was providing my clients before Dubsado was implemented into my business. The video above does a good job explaining how the client experience is improved – and it’s so fast, they don’t have to wait around for me to check my emails. Sometimes if you wait too long to respond to an email, the client is already busy booking with someone else. Dubsado hooks them right away and prevents them from getting impatient because there can be constant correspondence.

Dubsado and Quickbooks

One of the things that sold me on Dubsado was the integration with Quickbooks! Quickbooks is an accounting software that is aimed at small and medium businesses. I have been using it for years to send invoices and manage my accounting. I love it. Dubsado does offer bookkeeping features that will be good for some photographers, but I prefer a deeper overview of my finances. Dubsado has smooth integration with Quickbooks. All of my invoices from Dubsado automatically sync with Quickbooks so that I can have all of my accounting in one place! Dubsado also offers a great (free) tutorial on how to sync the two.

It’s Free to Try

I am encouraging you to try learning about Dubsado or hire someone to teach or set it up for you. Dubsado offers a free trial. Okay, so you might be a little intimidated when you first open it up. I know I was. It is very helpful to watch some intro tutorials from Dubsado before you try to do anything. I would focus on learning about the forms first. You can create a form to put on your contact page. This is the key to starting the automation.

I have this affiliate link here, if you use it to purchase Dubsado, it will give you 20% off for the first year! I am not concerned about getting you to use my affiliate link but I would be grateful if you do use it if you decide to sign up. I just want you to try Dubsado regardless because I think you’ll see it as an absolute game-changer. If you want to see more about Dubsado, check this link.

I am not going to lie and say it was easy at first or that it won’t take time to learn! It was a challenge learning a new program, but it got easier as I followed the tutorials and now it’s like second nature. I don’t know about you but I love a good challenge and the feeling of accomplishment after is so rewarding!

I would love to answer any questions you have or help guide you to tutorials I found helpful. I am working on making some of my own and will update this blog post once I get them finished. If you’d like to stay updated about that please subscribe to my page and I’ll send updates!
